They are made by wrapping strips of dough around pieces of cheese and frying them until golden and crispy. The result is a crunchy outside with perfectly melted cheese inside, making them incredibly addictive and fun to eat.

Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- 120 ml water
- 200 g firm white cheese (mozzarella works well)
- oil for frying
Typical side:
- guava sauce
- or garlic sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Add butter and rub into the flour.
- Add water gradually and knead until smooth dough forms.
- Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Cut cheese into long sticks.
- Roll out the dough thinly.
- Cut into long strips.
- Wrap each strip around the cheese stick, sealing the ends well.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towel.
- Serve warm.
