Ingredients
- 250 g cooked shredded chicken
- 250 ml chicken broth
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 100 g breadcrumbs
- 500 ml sunflower oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Add shredded chicken and mix. Set aside.
- In a pot, heat chicken broth until hot but not boiling.
- Add flour all at once and stir quickly with a spoon.
- Keep stirring until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the pot. This takes about 2-3 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly until safe to touch.
- Take a small piece of dough, flatten in your hand.
- Add 1 spoon of chicken filling inside.
- Close and shape into a teardrop form.
- Dip into beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs evenly.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and place on paper towels.
