Brigadeiro is the most famous Brazilian dessert. It is made with condensed milk and cocoa powder. Almost every Brazilian birthday party has brigadeiro.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, add condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter.
  2. Place on low heat. Stir constantly so it does not burn.
  3. Cook for about 8-10 minutes.
  4. The mixture is ready when it becomes thick and you can see the bottom of the pot for 2-3 seconds while stirring.
  5. Transfer to a plate and let cool completely.
  6. Grease your hands with a little butter.
  7. Roll into small balls.
  8. Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles.
  9. Serve at room temperature.
