
Puff-Puff is one of the most popular Nigerian sweets. It is deep-fried dough, soft inside and slightly crispy outside. It is sold on the street and also made at home for gatherings.

Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 ml warm water
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
- Add warm water slowly while mixing.
- Stir until smooth, thick batter forms (not dry dough, more like thick pancake batter).
- Cover bowl with cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes until doubled in size.
- Heat oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
- Scoop small portions of batter with a spoon and drop gently into hot oil.
- Fry 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towel.
